What began with an insurance claim for a burst water line in this South Minneapolis Craftsman was brought to us with the desire to consider a deeper, more thoughtful rework of this 100-year old basement. With functional improvements to re-run boiler pipes through the main floor joists, relocate the laundry to the existing laundry chute, and capture poorly-laid-out storage closet as living space made what began as a frustratingly small basement work as the critically comfortable hang-out space for this busy couple and their two young girls.
